This fragrant beverage, made by steeping fresh or dried Camellia sinensis leaves in hot water, ranks alongside coffee as one of the most highly prized beverages of the last few centuries. Today, all Darjeeling tea is grown in the West Bengal districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong, India, and only tea certified by the Tea Board of India can be labelled as Darjeeling.
